Prisoner Escaped Last Night

Be careful out there. There is an escaped prisoner somewhere around Sheepshead Bay. Well, this was posted on the Gothamist Map last night at 9:35 p.m., so it’s likely that he or she is long gone — but, you never know. I’m not aware of any prisons (except for the one I feel like I’m living in, right now) in Sheepshead Bay, so I’m guessing the perp escaped from the 61st Precinct’s holding cell or took off en route to the station.

Why wouldn’t the NYC Police Department want local residents to know about this situation? I haven’t heard anything on 1010 WINS or major media outlets about it. So, let’s hope that this criminal has been caught and that’s why we haven’t heard anything.
