Elderly Man Fights For Life After Being Struck By Car In Sheepshead Bay

An elderly pedestrian is fighting for his life in the hospital after being struck by a car in Brooklyn Saturday evening, police say.

The incident happened near East 26th Street and Avenue T in Sheepshead Bay at around 7 p.m., police sources said.

Cops said the 85-year-old man was crossing between two parked cars when a car driving down Avenue T hit him. Emergency responders transported the victim to Lutheran Hospital where he remains in critical condition, an FDNY spokesperson said.

The driver was taken into custody, and the investigation is still ongoing, police said.
