In other Downtown Brooklyn development news, the 13-story, 285-room hotel project under construction at 61 Bond Street will be an Ace Hotel, New York YIMBY reports.

Developed by GFI Hospitality and GFI Development Company, the trendy hotel was designed by Roman and Williams Buildings and Interiors with Stonehill & Taylor Architects as the architect of record. The project recently reached its halfway mark, according to the real estate website.

Located on the corner of Schermerhorn, the address of the new Ace Hotel will be 266 Schermerhorn Street. As reported last year, the 157,000-square-foot development will feature retail space and a restaurant on the ground floor as well as a hotel lobby bar, coffee shop, and a winter garden. Rooms will start on the third floor, according to YIMBY, and the building will also feature offices and a fitness center.

A completion date has not been scheduled yet for the boutique hotel. The project will likely top off later this summer, according to YIMBY, and could be completed in the first half of 2019.
