Cops Seeking Unruly Bus Passenger Who Spat On, Hit Driver With Cane
Clinton Hill – The NYPD is searching for the man seen in the above photos in connection to an assault on a city bus driver that occurred earlier this month.
At approximately 11:30am on Wednesday, August 9, the driver of a B25 MTA bus asked the rowdy passenger, who was disrupting other riders, to get off the bus, police say.
The driver pulled over at Downing and Fulton Streets in Clinton Hill for the man to exit. He spat on the driver on his way out. The driver followed the man off the bus to prevent him from fleeing and he struck her with his cane, hitting her left shoulder and hip, according to the police.
The suspect then fled the scene heading east on Fulton Street. The driver was taken to Lutheran Medical Center where she was listed in fair condition.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 50- to 60-years-old, 6 feet tall with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, burgundy pants, and a dark colored cap.
