Cops Arrest Two With Huge Arsenal Of Weapons Including Hunting Knives, Rifles & Machine Gun
Officers from the NYPD’s 62nd Precinct and the NYPD Intelligence Bureau arrested two men in possession of a Thompson submachine gun and a cache of other weapons Thursday.
After investigating a tip, police were issued a search warrant for a Gravesend apartment, located on West 13th Street near Highlawn Avenue.
When they entered the residence on August 6, at 5:20pm, cops found Christopher Alvino, 71, and August Chinnici, 52, in possession of a huge stash of illegal firearms and heroin, including:
- A Thompson submachine gun
- A Remington Model 700 rifle
- A Ruger Old Army revolver
- A Desert Eagle semiautomatic pistol
- A Bruni 8mm semiautomatic pistol
- Four starter pistols
- A starter rifle
- Three hunting knives
- More than 40 glassines of heroin
- Ammunition
Both men were charged with criminal possession of a weapon in 3rd and 4th degree, as well as criminal possession of a controlled substance.
