Clinton Hill Stabbing Victim Is Still Alive, Says Police
Police are questioning a man in connection with an early morning stabbing that left a 27-year-old man struggling to stay alive at Kings County Hospital today.
The incident took place a around 3:20am Wednesday morning, July 22, said police, who responded to the call of an argument that quickly escalated on Grand Avenue between Gates and Putnam Avenues in Clinton Hill. They found the victim “unresponsive with the knife still sticking out of him.” He had been stabbed multiple times in the body.
According to the New York Daily News, neighbor Marcia Brown told them that she “heard them arguing” and then “heard someone say “Why’d you do that?”
The Daily News also noted that “the stabbing happened on the same block where a 65-year-old homeless man was shot to death by a teen in March of last year” and where “Kelly Gilbert, beloved on the block for sweeping the streets while singing a tune, was shot in the chest” — a murder for which 18-year-old Victorious Kingsberry was arrested and charged.
