Back in the 1990s, when young comedian Chris Rock was on Saturday Night Live, he purchased a beautiful home at 239 Waverly Avenue in Clinton Hill.

Rock has long since moved on from SNL and Brooklyn, and recently put the 3,700-square-foot carriage house on the market for $3.85 million. He’s been renting the 2-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath home for about $8,000/month for several years, according to Curbed.

Built in 1901, the three-story home boasts skylights, a modern kitchen, a patio and roof terrace, and a two-car garage. Design details include 12-foot-high ceilings, wooden beams, exposed brick, a spiral staircase, and stained-glass windows.

Even if “Everybody Hates Chris,” it’s hard to find fault in his lovely Clinton Hill property.

You can check it out in person—there’s an open house Saturday, May 13 from 1pm to 2:30pm.
