Car Accident On Ditmas & E 18th, 3 Taken To Hospital

A two-car accident on Ditmas Ave. and E 18th St. this morning sent three people to Kings County Hospital. A spokesman for the FDNY says the crash was called in at 7:56am, and one passenger suffered minor injuries while two others were in serious but stable condition.

Neighbor Sam Mackey says:

FDNY/NYPD/EMS were already on the scene when I came upon the accident. Traffic was blocked along Ditmas between 17 & 18 temporarily as FDNY “cleared” the roadway.

It appeared that a car crossed the center line (possibly while turning onto ditmas from 18th street as there was an awkwardly park lift used during filming in the area) and had a head on collision with a parked van. No major injuries could be witnessed as it appeared that the driver of the car was walking around and talking to the responding officers.
