Call Box Art Hidden In Plain Sight On 22nd Street
On the corner of 6th Avenue and 22nd Street sits an old FDNY call box. We’ve easily passed this call box hundreds of times in our walks around the neighborhood, and have never given it much more than a passing glance. Who knows why, but it caught our attention on Monday afternoon and we decided to take a picture.
It wasn’t until we glanced through the viewfinder that we noticed the artwork hidden inside.
