Do you like shopping? Or giving your opinion about shopping experiences? And are you 17 years old or older? Then sign up to be a mystery shopper for the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership (MARP)!

Applications are open from now through tomorrow (Wednesday, November 18) at 6pm and selected shoppers will be notified by Thursday to choose a mandatory orientation time of either Friday at 5pm or Saturday at 10am. The shopping and feedback period will then run until December 22.

We are looking for a few observant, honest, unbiased and courteous shoppers to make anonymous store visits, and to share feedback (by way of completed survey) with us and our merchants about your shopping experiences in the district. Local businesses may choose to incorporate some of the feedback for quality control and staff training purposes.

In the application, you’ll be asked things like your age range, contact info, any school affiliation, how many shopping surveys you are willing to complete, and what kind of stores you need to visit anyway — restaurants, bars, grocery/deli/supermarket, wine/spirits.

Since you’re shopping for yourself, you’ll be using your own money, but participants who review at least 5 businesses can choose a $30 gift certificate to either Key Food or Walgreens.

Do you have questions? Call 718-230-1689, extension #3.
