Any Interest in a French Immersion Program for Kids?
After seeing her daughter enjoy one of their summer programs, neighbor Joan Adams is hoping to persuade Bonjour NY to offer a program in the neighborhood, and they’ve asked her to gauge the area’s interest by pulling together a list of names of parents who might be interested in an after school French program.
The way they run the program now in other schools in Brooklyn is:
* Monday from 3-5pm, K-2nd grade
* Tuesdays 3-5pm, 3rd-5th grade
* They offer after hours as well, which runs until 6pm.
If you might be interested, email Joan at adams@pierian.net or Angelique of Bonjour NY at angelique@bonjourny.com, mentioning Joan and French classes in Ditmas Park.
There are a couple of options already offered in the neighborhood to get children interested in French. Lark hosts a French immersion playgroup for all ages on Sundays at 3pm, and the bilingual day care Le Jardin de Louise introduces children to the language in various ways throughout the day.
