10 Free Back To School Events In Brooklyn
It’s almost time to go back to school! Have you gotten your school supplies yet? There are several organizations giving out free (yes, free) school supplies in the next few weeks. We made a list!
- Boost Mobile Back to School Event
Saturday, August 17 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., 435 Fulton Street
“Score a new backpack and school supplies for your student at a participating Boost Mobile location during our Back To School event! No purchase necessary.”
2. Kosciuszko Street Block Party & Free Backpack and School Supply Giveaway
Saturday, August 17 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., 385 Kosciuszko Street Community Garden
“Children must be present and accompanied by an adult! We will have some food and refreshments!”
3. Annual Shield Field Day
Saturday, August 17 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Coney Island Ave and Parkside Avenue
“Come out and Join Shield Cleaning Co. on our Annual Field Day as we give away school supplies to the community and promote an active and healthy lifestyle to the youth. We’re also giving away school supplies to over 200 of the children that show up. Everyone is invited to join us.”
4. Sprint Back to School Event

7. School Supplies Giveaway
Sunday, August at 5 p.m., 670 Lafayette Avenue
“Cultural Awareness, a non-profit organization will have its first, Back To School Giveaway, from grades Kindergarten-6 grade. We have composition notebooks, crayons, pencils, binders, loose-leaf paper & pens… Parent must accompany small children. No exceptions…This giveaway is on a first-come, first-served basis.”
