Holiday donation drives are in full swing, but there’s still time to contribute to these five local toy drives to brighten the holidays for kids — and families — right in our neighborhood.

Council Member Jumaane Williams’ Holiday Toy Drive
When: Ends Monday, December 22.
Where: 4517 Avenue D between East 45th and East 46th Streets.
What: Toys that do not promote violence or guns can be dropped off at the Council Member’s district office on Avenue D. All donated items will be given to less fortunate children in our district.

When: Ends Saturday, December 24.
Where: 70th Precinct at 154 Lawrence Avenue between Ocean Parkway and Seton Place.
What: Donate new or lightly used toys, wrapped or unwrapped, for all ages; and new or lightly used winter coats, hats, scarves for children and adults.

Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams Toy Drive
When: Ends December 15.
Where: Flushing Bank at 1402 Avenue J at East 14th Street.
What: Bring new, unwrapped toys for kids age 3–15 at multiple locations throughout Brooklyn.

The Kensington Shelter Toy & Clothing Drive
When: Ends December 10.
Where: The Kensington, 385 McDonald Avenue between Albemarle Road and Church Avenue.
What: Drop off items for babies and teens from the Amazon Wish List — order items to be shipped directly to the shelter. For more opportunities, donate food for the Shelter Christmas Eve feast on December 24 here.

Event: 2016 Holiday Happy Hour Toy Drive
When: Tuesday, December 13 from 7pm to 9pm.
Where: The Exley, 1 Jackson Street between Union Avenue and Meeker Street in Williamsburg.
What: Raise funds for holiday toys for 215 children living in CAMBA’s The Landing family homeless shelters. Your support will bring joy to children whose parents are struggling and cannot afford to buy holiday gifts. Can’t make the event? You can also donate online here.
