You Guessed It: 13-Story Condo Coming To 4th Avenue & 15th Street
About a month ago, we saw the closure of Brooklyn Finest Market, located at 550 4th Avenue, on the corner of 15th Street, and as many of you guessed, we’re getting another tall residential building in its place.
Developer Brookland Capital has purchased adjacent properties from three different sellers for $7.4 million, reports Commercial Observer, which notes the addresses as 550-554 4th Avenue (the market) and 138-140 15th Street (two wood-frame houses), which are reportedly all currently vacant.
They plan to build a 13-story, 45-unit condo with retail on the ground floor, to be designed by architects at Roart. A rep for Brookland told the Observer that 20 percent of the units will be “affordable.”
No permits have been filed yet with the Department of Buildings, though Brownstoner has a potential rendering of the building.
But wait, that’s not all — Brookland is also working on another local development. The Observer says it “has one in the planning stages at 98 16th Street,” which is a block away just off 4th Avenue.
