Woman’s Cellphone Snatched From Her Hand Onboard ‘Q’ Train

PARK SLOPE – Police are searching for the man seen in the below photos who they believe stole a commuter’s cellphone on a subway last month.

At approximately 10am on Tuesday, August 15, a man walked up to the 23-year-old female victim onboard a southbound Q train as it pulled into the 7th Avenue subway station, police say. The victim was holding her Samsung Galaxy cellphone in her hand when the suspect grabbed it and ran out of the subway when the doors opened at the station, a NYPD representative said.

The victim was not injured during the incident.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, approximately 16- to 21-years-old, approximately 6 feet tall and 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, and black pants.
