Woman Wanted For Robbing 79-Year-Old Man In His Brighton Beach Home

Cops say a woman in her 20s posed as a utility representative to rob a 79-year-old man in his own home.

The woman knocked on the man’s door at approximately 3pm on January 8, in a building near Brighton Beach Avenue and Coney Island Avenue. When the victim answered, she identified herself in connection with a utility company and asked for his billing information. The man closed the door and went to search for paperwork in the bedroom.

With the man in the other room, the woman pushed the door open and snuck into the apartment. She found $600, snatched it and ran, according to police.

The suspect is described as a black female, approximately 5’5″ tall, 120lbs, wearing a dark colored jacket and a pink winter hate with a green pompom.
