Woman Sneaks Into Elderly Man’s Home, Steals Credit Card

GRAVESEND – Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the woman seen in the below photos in connection to a recent burglary.

At approximately 11pm on Thursday, September 7, a 69-year-old man was notified by his credit card company about an unauthorized transaction. The man then discovered his credit card was missing, police say.

The credit card company tracked that the man’s card was used on Sunday, September 3 at approximately 1am at the BP Gas Station at 1775 Coney Island Avenue.

Following an investigation, officers found that at approximately 8:20pm on Saturday, September 2, a woman entered the victim’s home, located near the intersection of Avenue W and East 2 Street, through an unlocked side door. She was eventually confronted by a 26-year-old woman, the victim’s neighbor according to a NYPD representative, who told her to leave. The trespasser left the home in an unknown direction.

Police describe the suspect as a white female in her 30s, approximately 5′ 4″, with black hair. She was last seen wearing a light colored dress, black shoes, and carrying a black shoulder bag.
