Winter Festival & Holiday Market Coming To Brooklyn Museum

PROSPECT HEIGHTS – With Thanksgiving fast approaching, it’s time to start prepping for the holidays, and Winterfest at the Brooklyn Museum will help get you into the spirit.

From Black Friday, November 23 through Monday, December 31, a 40,000-square-foot space between the Brooklyn Museum and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden will be transformed into a winter wonderland featuring shopping, entertainment, and activities including Santa Land, a Snowzilla slide, a Spectacular Menorah, a giant snow globe, an enchanted tree maze, scavenger hunts, wine tastings, a beer garden, and more.

The Makers Market will feature more than 50 artisans and vendors selling their wares from wooden chalets, showcasing their products ranging from unique gifts to holiday decorations to food. Some of the participating vendors include:

A variety of entertainers will perform on the Life Is Beautiful Stage where daily shows will be scheduled including singers, carolers, brass bands, dancers, and more. Dancewave and the Brooklyn Music School are among the confirmed performers.

“We’re thrilled to be the home of the inaugural Winterfest festival in Brooklyn,” David Berliner, President and Chief Operating Officer at the Brooklyn Museum, said in an announcement. “The festival is a great opportunity to support local businesses and foster a sense of community and celebration during the holiday season.”
