Willkommen, Werkstatt! Austrian Restaurant Will Soon Open At Coney Island Avenue & Turner Place
Neighbors, get ready for schnitzels, beer and a whole lot more deliciousness!
As many of you have probably noticed, there’s been much work happening at the building at 509 Coney Island Avenue, by Turner Place — and it turns out two of our neighbors will be opening what sounds like a fabulous Austrian restaurant there.
The restaurant, named Werkstatt, comes from Robin Wertheimer and Chef Thomas Ferlesch — who previously owned Thomas Beisl, a Viennese bistro across from BAM. We’ll soon be sitting down with the duo to talk all things Austrian food and drink and will be giving you a full update then. But, for now, we know there will be lots of Austrian goodies (including schnitzels), as well as draft wine and beer.
A big willkommen to Robin, Thomas and everyone at Werkstatt!
