West Indian Restaurant Coming To 1017 Cortelyou Road

West Indian cuisine will be available just off Coney Island Avenue in the near future, says a neighbor who noticed work being done at 1017 Cortelyou Road (between Coney Island Avenue and Stratford Road), which has been for rent since late September, late last week.

Venting for the space is already in, and when we stopped by this morning, a man working inside simply said the eatery will be open “very soon.” So get excited, everyone who voted in a poll about the space that you’d like a restaurant! You might have another post-bar snacking option right across the road before long.
