This Week’s Subway Changes: No B Train South Of Kings Highway & No Q Service South Of Brighton Beach

This week, it looks like we are finally in the clear when it comes to changes on the B and the Q in our neighborhood this week – well, almost. Because of the holiday, there will be no B service on Thanksgiving. Additionally, heads up if you’re traveling further down the line – there is no B service south of Kings Highway and no Q trains south of Brighton Beach. Details via the MTA:

Starting Monday:

No B trains between Kings Highway and Brighton Beach
Weekdays, Monday to Friday, November 24-December 1 (except for Thanksgiving, November 27,  when there is no B service)
Q trains provide alternate service.

No Q trains between Brighton Beach and Stillwell Avenue
All times, until 5am Monday, December 1
Q service operates between 57 Street-7 Avenue/Ditmars Boulevard and Brighton Beach. Free shuttle buses will run between Brighton Beach and Stillwell Avenue, stopping at Ocean Parkway and West 8 Street. For more information about shuttle bus stops, go here.
