CENTRAL BROOKLYN

KIDtivity Wednesdays
When: Wednesday, July 29, 11am-4pm
Where: LeFrak Center at Lakeside, Prospect Park
What: Start KIDtivity Wednesday with a fitness class wit PopFit Kids, then stick around for a puppet show by Puppetsburg at 1pm. KIDtivity Wednesday will close out with a cooking class by Creative Kitchen at 4pm for kids, ages 2-5. All classes are free and reservations can be made online.

Our Garden Club
When: Wednesday, July 29, 4:30-5:30pm
Where: Central Library, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: Plant seeds, hear gardening stories and sing songs at this weekly garden-themed playtime.

A Summer Movie Under The Stars
When: Wednesday, July 29, 7pm
Where: Long Meadow North, Prospect Park
What: Bring your blankets to a free showing of Where the Wild Things Are in Prospect Park, sponsored by Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams.

Family Fishing Evening
When: Thursday, July 30, 6-8pm
Where: Audubon Center at the Boathouse, Prospect Park
What: Prospect Park Alliance is hosting an introductory catch-and-release fishing class for families with kids ages 8 and up. All gear and light refreshments will be provided.
How Much: Free!

Free Public Rowing
When: Saturday, August 1, 12-4pm
Where: Prospect Park’s Wellhouse Boat Ramp
What: Check out Prospect Park Lake by rowboat, thanks to the Prospect Park Alliance and Village Community Boathouse — which have again teamed up to offer the free public rowing on Saturdays.

Ezra Jack Keats Story Hour
When: Saturday, August 1, 2-3pm
Where: Prospect Park’s Imagination Playground
What: Gather around Peter and Willie, the statue of two beloved Keats characters, for storytelling adventures brought to life by Tammy Hall. Sponsored by the Ezra Jack Keats Foundation.
How Much: Free!

Peter Pan And The Pirates
When: Saturday, August 1, 3pm & 4pm
Where: Prospect Park’s Zucker Natural Exploration Area
What: Eva Dean Dance Company will turn Zucker Natural Exploration Area into Neverland for their presentation of Peter Pan and the Pirates.

Explore & Create
When: Wednesday, July 29, 4-5pm
Where: Sheepshead Bay Library, 2636 East 14th Street
What: Kids create their own masterpieces at this weekly arts and crafts program.

Movies In The Park: A League Of Their Own
When: Wednesday, July 29, 8:30-10:30pm
Where: Dyker Beach Park
What: Catch A League of Their Own at this outdoor screening hosted by the NYC Parks Department.

Meet A Local Hero
When: Thursday, July 30, 2-3pm
Where: New Utrecht Library, 1743 86th Street, Bensonhurst
What: Meet the local heros who make everyday safe in the neighborhood.

Gary the Great
When: Friday, July 31, 2-3pm
Where: Gravesend Library, 303 Avenue X
What: Magician Gary the Great will amaze with his showcase of tricks.

Coney Island Flicks On The Beach: Big Hero 6
When: Monday, August 3, 8:30-10pm
Where: Coney Island Boardwalk, 1001 Boardwalk West
What: Lay out your blanket on the sand and watch Big Hero 6 on a giant, 40-foot inflatable screen.
