This Weekend’s B & Q Subway Changes

A bit of the old express routine for the Q over the weekend. Details on that and a couple other changes to look out for, via the MTA:

Starting Thursday:

Manhattan-bound B trains run local from Sheepshead Bay to Prospect Park
Days, 9:45am to 3pm, Thursday, November 6 and Friday, November 7
Coney Island-bound Q trains run express from Prospect Park to Sheepshead Bay
Days, 9:45am to 3pm, Thursday, November 6 and Friday, November 7
Trains stop at Church Avenue, Newkirk Plaza, and Kings Highway. For service to Parkside Avenue, Beverley Road, Cortelyou Road, Avenue H, Avenue J, Avenue M, Avenue U, and Neck Road, take the Q to Church Avenue, Newkirk Plaza, Kings Highway, or Sheepshead Bay and transfer to a Manhattan-bound B or Q. For service from these stations, take the B or Q to Kings Highway, Newkirk Plaza, Church Avenue, or Prospect Park and transfer to a Coney Island-bound Q.

Starting Friday:

Coney Island-bound Q trains run express from Prospect Park to Kings Highway
Weekend, 10:45pm Friday to 5am Monday, November 7-10
Trains stop at Church Avenue and Newkirk Plaza. For service to Parkside Avenue, Cortelyou Road, Avenue H, Avenue J, and Avenue M, take the Q to Church Avenue, Newkirk Plaza, or Kings Highway and transfer to a Manhattan-bound Q. For service from these stations, take the Q to Newkirk Plaza, Church Avenue or Prospect Park and transfer to a Coney Island-bound Q.

Starting Saturday:

Q service is extended to Ditmars Boulevard
Weekends, 7am to 9pm on Saturdays until November 22, and 9am to 7pm on Sundays until November 23
Service operates between Stillwell Avenue and Ditmars Boulevard.

Remember, unscheduled changes can occur, so be sure to check out the MTA’s website before  you head out.
