This Weekend’s Ditmas Park Open House Picks: Under $500k

We’ve rounded up some of the more interesting Ditmas Park open house listings this weekend — and this time around, we’re keeping the search to below half a million dollars. Any thoughts on these places?

227 Ocean Parkway #7F
List Price: $200,000, $353 maintenance
Size: Studio, one bathroom
Details: This top floor unit between Church Avenue and Beverley Road offers a wall full of windows, a newly tiled kitchen and bath, a breakfast nook, and a feline-friendly pet policy. The building has laundry facilities and a shared outdoor space, bike and other storage, and parking (albeit with a wait list). Nobody’s accusing it of being big, but if you’re more interested in convenient location at a decent price than you are in square footage, this could be the place for you.
Open House: Sunday, March 22, 12-2pm

715 Ocean Parkway #6N
List Price: $339,000
Size: Two bedrooms, one bathroom
Details: This listing lacks interior photos or even much of a description, but we didn’t see any other two beds this week for anywhere near this price. What we do know is the 1,000 sq ft unit includes a windowed eat-in kitchen, parquet floors, good closet space, and something custom, plus we’re guessing from the apartment number that it’s on the top floor. Location-wise, you’ll be between the F and Q for a flexible commute.
Open House: Sunday, March 22, 12-2pm

601 E 19th Street #2H
List Price: $375,000, $538 maintenance
Size: One bedroom, one bathroom
Details: Sleek and sunny, this current one bedroom in a co-op is apparently a prime candidate for a two bed conversion. As it stands, the unit features wonderful things like arched entryways, hardwood floors, and a bright kitchen and bath — plus the (dog-friendly) building offers bike and other storage, common laundry, and easy access to Newkirk Plaza and Avenue transportation and other amenities.
Open House: Sunday, March 22, 11:30am-1pm

1110 Caton Avenue #10C
List Price: $425,000, $725 maintenance
Size: Two bedrooms, one bathroom
Details: Just below the Parade Ground, this pet-friendly place features high ceilings, original mouldings, a floor plan allowing for maximum privacy, and a pretty (if not super modern) windowed kitchen with dishwasher. It’s not as big or as (relatively) inexpensive as this week’s other two bedroom, but its location between Stratford and Westminster will put you close to restaurants, shopping, and transportation on Church — as well as, of course, fun in Prospect Park.
Open House: Sunday, March 22, 1-2:30pm
