The MTA is restoring a number of bus services that were cut in 2010, including the weekend service of the B69, which runs through our area. According to Gothamist, the restoration of a number of lines starts this weekend.

The B69 runs along McDonald Ave in Kensington up through Windsor Terrace, then turns along 7th Avenue, then heads through Prospect Heights and Fort Greene, turning around in Downtown Brooklyn.

The weekend restoration will be handy if you want to visit the Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket on Saturdays, but even then it seems like the subway, or a subway/bus combo, might be the quicker option for most of the places this bus line goes. Anyone use the B69 who can recommend it?

You can see the new B69 schedule and map, effective January 6, here.
