Weekend Halloween Parties In Downtown Brooklyn: BKLYN Boo! and BK Block Party [Photos]

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN – Downtown Brooklyn was rife with wee superheroes, princesses, and a couple of Super Mario Brothers Saturday afternoon as it played host to two fun-filled, family-friendly Halloween events.

First was BKLYN Boo! at City Point (445 Albee Square West), the first-ever Prospect Park Halloween afterparty featuring DJs, face painting, nail art, a photo booth, costume contest, crafts, candy, and more.

Hosted by the Prospect Park Alliance, Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, and City Point, the ground-level of the mall was packed with costumed kiddies dancing, making masks, and having a great time. See photos from the event in the slideshow below.

Outside, just around the corner at Albee Square, at Fulton and Bond Streets, was another celebration—the BK Block Party: Halloween Edition. Fortunately the mild weather on Saturday made waiting on the long lines snaking around the square for balloon sculptures, the bouncy castle, photo booth, and snacks, much more pleasant.

There were more older kids at this event, while the smaller ones, loaded up with sugar, happily danced or chased each other around the square. See photos from the BK Block Party: Halloween Edition below.
