Park Slope Library Used Book Collection
When: Saturday, March 29, 10am to 4pm
Where: 431 6th Avenue at 9th Street
What: Clean out those bookshelves and donate your old books to the Park Slope Library used book sale. The actual sale is scheduled for Saturday, April 26, from 10am-5pm, and all proceeds will benefit the branch.

Opening Day In Brooklyn: Baseball Greats In Green-Wood
When: Saturday, March 29, 1pm to 3pm
Where: 25th Street and 5th Avenue
What: Celebrate baseball season with a trolley tour through Green-Wood. Baseball expert Tom Gilbert and Green-Wood historian Jeff Richman will introduce you to some of the ball-playing pioneers interred at the cemetery, including “Henry Chadwick, the Father of Baseball, who invented the game’s scoring system; James Creighton, baseball’s first national star; Charles Ebbets, owner of the Brooklyn Dodgers; and the great hitter Charlie Smith.”
How much: Tickets, which can be purchases here, are $15 for members and $20 for non-members
U Is For Underwear Book Launch
When: Saturday, March 29, 4pm to 5pm
Where: Powerhouse On 8th, 1111 8th Avenue, between 11th and 12th Streets
What: Teach your tykes the alphabet in style with a new board book from Greenpoint artist and printmaker Jesse Levison.

Closing Reception For Finding The Root
When: Sunday, March 30, 4pm to 7pm
Where: 440 Gallery, 440 6th Avenue, between 9th and 10th Streets
What: It’s your final chance to check out the Ellen Chuse exhibition, Finding The Root, at 440 Gallery this weekend. If you’d like to chat with Ellen, the artist will be on hand for the closing reception Sunday evening, so be sure to stop by and say hello.
