What: Looking for oddball family fun? Michael Hearst, along with his five-piece band, brings “a highly-geeky A/V presentation of some of the most bizarre animals that roam the planet” to Barbes this Saturday. How can you pass that up?

Family Game Day
When: Saturday, February 1, 2pm to 4pm
Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Avenue at 9th Street
What: Come celebrate Take Your Child to the Library Week at the Park Slope Library. Geared toward grade school and tween kiddos, the afternoon will feature CandyLand, Chess, Checkers, Uno, Apples to Apples, and more.

The Kitten Bowl
When: Sunday, February 2, 12pm
Where: Supercollider, 609 4th Avenue, between 17th and 18th Streets
What: Can’t wait for the Puppy Bowl? Supercollider will air Hallmark Channel’s Kitten Bowl this Sunday at noon. If you’ve got you’re own cute and cuddly cat a home, bring a picture up to the bar with you. Attendees will vote on the most fantastic feline, and the “cat’s servant” will receive a free drink or cup of coffee.
