Snow Day!!!
When: Saturday, January 4, 11am to 3am
Where: Near the Tennis House in Prospect Park (Enter at PPW and 9th Street and head toward the Long Meadow)
What: Kids (and kids at heart) are invited out to Prospect Park for “supervised safe sledding (there will be sleds available at each snow day site), snowman building contests, best snow angel contests, friendly snowball fights, music, and complimentary hot chocolate.”
How much: Free!
Great Divide Tasting
When: Saturday, January 4, 4pm to 7pm
Where: The Ploughman, 438 7th Avenue, between 14th and 15th Streets
What: Take a break from the cold and head over to the taps at The Ploughman, where they’ll have an afternoon tasting with brewery Great Divide.
How much: Free!
12th Night Gift Exchange
When: Sunday, January 5, 8pm to 11pm
Where: Supercollider, 609 4th Avenue, between 17th and 18th Streets
What: Did you get something for Christmas this year that wasn’t exactly your cup of tea? Instead of wasting away in exchange lines, bring it up to Super Collider on Sunday for their 12th Night Gift Exchange. Attendees will be randomly paired with another bar-goer so they can exchange presents. Super Collider says that “maybe what you get won’t be so great but after a few drinks it will seem like the best present ever!”

Story Time With Leah
When: Sunday, January 5, 11:30am
Where: Powerhouse on 8th, 1111 8th Avenue
What: It’s the first Powerhouse story time of the year! Bring the kids over to 8th Avenue and prepare to get lost in the magic of children’s literature.

Sunday Movie Night: Blade Runner
When: Sunday, January 5, 10pm
Where: Cafe Steinhof, 422 7th Avenue at 14th Street
What: It’s a month of “blade” movies at Cafe Steinhof, and first up is the Harrison Ford classic Blade Runner. It’s always a great crowd…and there’s free popcorn!
