Weekend Changes To Local Subway Lines


We’ve got some of the same changes to the F and G train that we experienced last week, but note they’re not affecting the entire weekend — so if you want to avoid the subways on Friday night and head out Saturday night instead, you might not even notice these disruptions. Details from the MTA:

Jamaica-bound F trains run express from Avenue X to Jay St-MetroTech
Weekend, 11:45pm Friday to 8pm Saturday, June 6-7
No Jamaica-bound service at Avenue U, Avenue P, Avenue N, Bay Pkwy, Avenue I, Ditmas Av, Fort Hamilton Pkwy, 15 St-Prospect Park, 4 Av-9 St, Smith-9 Sts, Carroll St, and Bergen St. For service to these stations, take the F to Kings Hwy, 18 Av, Church Av, 7 Av, or Jay St-MetroTech and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F. For service from these stations, take the to 7 Av, Church Av, 18 Av, Kings Hwy, or Avenue X and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F.

No G trains between Hoyt-Schermerhorn Sts and Church Av
Service operates every 20 minutes between Bedford-Nostrand Avs and Hoyt Schermerhorn Sts
Weekend, 11:45pm Friday to 8pm Saturday, June 6-7
No G service at Bergen, Carroll, Smith-9 Sts, 4 Av-9 St, 7 Av, 15 St-Prospect Park, and Fort Hamilton Pkwy. G service operates in two sections: Between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs; and between Bedford-Nostrand Avs and Hoyt-Schermerhorn Sts.

No R trains between Lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn
All times until October 2014
No R service at City Hall, Cortlandt, Rector, Whitehall, Court Streets, and Jay Street-MetroTech. R service operates between Forest Hills-71st Avenue and Bay Ridge-95th Street. Trains run via the Q in both directions between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue.

Additionally, look out for changes further along the F line.
