If you’re heading out on a local subway line this weekend, keep an eye out for some changes along the way:
4 and 5 trains run local in both directions between Grand Central-42 St and Brooklyn Bridge

Allow extra time.
No F trains between Avenue X and Stillwell Av
Weekend, 12:30am Saturday, January 25 to 5am Monday, January 27
F service operates between 179 St, Queens and Avenue X, Brooklyn. Free shuttle buses run between Avenue X and Stillwell Av, stopping at Neptune Av and West 8 St. For direct service between Stillwell Av and Manhattan/Downtown Brooklyn, take the D or N instead.
F trains run local in both directions between 21 St-Queensbridge and 71 Av
Weekend, 12:30am Saturday, January 25 to 5 am Monday, January 27
Trains stop at 36, Steinway, 46 Sts, Northern Blvd, 65 St, Elmhurst, Grand Avs, Woodhaven Blvd, 63 Dr, and 67 Av. Allow additional travel time.
Manhattan-bound N trains run via the D from Stillwell Av to 36 St
Weekend, 6:45am Saturday, January 25 to 7pm Sunday, January 26
Trains run express, stopping at Bay Pkwy, 62 St-New Utrecht Av, and 9 Av.
No N trains between Queensboro Plaza and Ditmars Blvd
Weekend, 5:45am Saturday, January 25 to 6pm Sunday, January 26
N service operates between Stillwell Av and Queensboro Plaza. Shuttle buses make all stops between Queensboro Plaza and Ditmars Blvd.
No Q trains between Brighton Beach and Stillwell Avenue
Weekend, 12:30am Saturday, January 25 to 5am Monday, January 27
Q service operates between 57th Street-7th Avenue and Brighton Beach. Free shuttle buses provide alternate service between Brighton Beach and Stillwell Avenue, stopping at Ocean Parkway and West 8th Street.
No R trains between Lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn

No R service at City Hall, Cortlandt, Rector, Whitehall, Court Streets, and Jay Street-MetroTech. R service operates between Forest Hills-71st Avenue and Bay Ridge-95th Street. Trains run via the Q in both directions between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue.
