Weekend Changes To Local Subway Lines


Work on the G train tunnel continues, so getting to Greenpoint and Long Island City remains a bit of a pain, but doable (anyone do it yet — how’d it go?) Details on that and more to look out for this weekend via the MTA:

Coney Island-bound F trains run via the A from W 4 St to Jay St-MetroTech
Weekend, 11:45pm Friday to 5am Monday, August 1-4
No Coney Island-bound F service at B’way-Lafayette St, 2 Av, Delancey St, East Broadway, and York St.
No G trains between Nassau Av and Court Sq
All times, until 5am Tuesday, September 2
G service operates between Church Av and Nassau Av. Manhattan Av shuttle buses run between Nassau Av and Court Sq, stopping at Greenpoint Av and 21 St. McGuinness Blvd shuttle buses run between the Lorimer St L stop and Court Sq, stopping near G stations at Nassau Av, Greenpoint Av, and 21 St. See the full details here.
No R trains between Lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn
All times until October 2014
No R service at City Hall, Cortlandt, Rector, Whitehall, Court Streets, and Jay Street-MetroTech. R service operates between Forest Hills-71st Avenue and Bay Ridge-95th Street. Trains run via the Q in both directions between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue.
Additionally, look out for changes further along the F and R lines.
