Weekday Subway Service Changes To Local Lines

Local subway lines don’t look too bad this week, with just a few changes that include familiar long waits overnight for the G train and a few hours over a single night where the 4 train will be a hassle to ride. Details on those changes and more from the MTA:

4 service operates in three sections
Late night, 1am to 4am, Tuesday, Apr 15
Trains run between Woodlawn and Brooklyn Bridge; between Brooklyn Bridge and Wall St; and between Wall St and New Lots Av. Transfer at Brooklyn Bridge and/or Wall St to continue your trip.

G trains run every 20 minutes
Late evenings, beginning 11pm, Monday to Thursday, until May 8
Allow additional travel time.

No R trains between Lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn
All times until October 2014
No R service at City Hall, Cortlandt, Rector, Whitehall, Court Streets, and Jay Street-MetroTech. R service operates between Forest Hills-71st Avenue and Bay Ridge-95th Street. Trains run via the Q in both directions between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue.

Additionally, look out for more changes further down the line on the 2, 3, 4, B, F, N, and Q.
