Weekday Subway Service Advisories On Local Lines


The G train has resumed service through the tunnel following repairs that were needed following Hurricane Sandy, so no more shuttle buses to get you to Greenpoint or Long Island City and back. However, it may be a slower trip late at night this week even so. Details on that and other subway changes along local lines from the MTA:

Flatbush Av-bound 2 trains and New Lots Av-bound 4 trains skip Bergen St, Grand Army Plaza, and Eastern Pkwy
Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, September 2-19
For service to these stations, take the 2 or 4 to Franklin Av and transfer to a
Manhattan-bound 2 or 4. For service from these stations, take the 2 or 4 to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and transfer to a Flatbush Av-bound 2 or a New Lots-bound 4.
G trains run every 30 minutes between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs
Late nights, 10:45pm to 5am, Tuesday to Friday, September 2-5
Service operates in two sections: 1. Between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs; 2. Between Bedford-Nostrand Avs and Church Av. Transfer at Bedford-Nostrand Avs to continue your trip.
Coney Island-bound N trains run via the D from 36 St to Stillwell Av
Days, 9:45am to 3pm, Tuesday to Friday, September 2-5
Trains run express, stopping at 9 Av, 62 St-New Utrecht Av, and Bay Pkwy.
No R shuttle train between 59 St and 36 St
Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, Tuesday to Friday, September 2-5
R service operates between 95 St and 59 St. Take the N instead. Transfer between trains at 59 St.
No R trains between Lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn
All times until October 2014
No R service at City Hall, Cortlandt, Rector, Whitehall, Court Streets, and Jay Street-MetroTech. R service operates between Forest Hills-71st Avenue and Bay Ridge-95th Street. Trains run via the Q in both directions between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue.
Additionally, look out for changes further along the 2, 4, 5, B, F, and Q lines.
