Weekday Service Advisories For Local Subway Lines


If you’ll be riding the subway late at night this week, you’ll want to watch out along the 2/4 in our area, as the 2 will be running on the 4 at one point, and the 4 will be skipping some local stops. Plus, the G continues its service issues involving the tunnel repair. Details on those and other subway changes this week from the MTA:

Flatbush Av-bound 2 trains run via the 4 after Chambers St to Franklin Av
Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, August 11-15
After Chambers St, Flatbush Av-bound 2 trains are rerouted nonstop to the Wall St 4 Station, then run express via the 4 to Franklin Av and resume regular service. No Flatbush Av-bound service at Park Place, Fulton St, Wall St (on William St), Clark, Hoyt, Bergen Sts, Grand Army Plaza, and Eastern Pkwy.

New Lots Av-bound 4 trains skip Bergen St, Grand Army Plaza, and Eastern Pkwy
Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, August 11-15
For service to these stations, take the 4 to Franklin Av and transfer to a Manhattan-bound 2 or 4. For service from these stations, take the 2 or 4 to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and transfer to a New Lots Av-bound 4.

No G trains between Nassau Av and Court Sq
All times until 5am Tuesday, September 2
G service operates between Church Av and Nassau Av. Manhattan Av shuttle buses run between Nassau Av and Court Sq, stopping at Greenpoint Av and 21 St. McGuinness Blvd shuttle buses run between the Lorimer St L stop and Court Sq, stopping near G stations at Nassau Av, Greenpoint Av, and 21 St. See the full details here.

No R shuttle train between 59 St and 36 St
Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, until August 15
R service operates between 95 St and 59 St. Take the N instead. Transfer between trains at 59 St.

No R trains between Lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn
All times until October 2014
No R service at City Hall, Cortlandt, Rector, Whitehall, Court Streets, and Jay Street-MetroTech. R service operates between Forest Hills-71st Avenue and Bay Ridge-95th Street. Trains run via the Q in both directions between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue.

Additionally, look out for changes further along the 25B, and Q lines.
