Here’s a recap of what happened last week:

We explored the inside of the Japanese house – and proceeded to take a ton of photos.

• The public advocate said a Ditmas Park landlord is one of the worst in the city.

• A neighborhood superintendent was mugged at gunpoint.

• The city Council passed legislation that reduces the citywide speed limit, but Councilman Jumaane Williams said the law is too vague.

Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg filmed “St. James Place” in our neighborhood.

• Sycamore’s Justin Israelson is opening up a massive new brewpub in Gowanus.

• There’s an awesome art show happening today in our neighobrhood!

• Martina Nevermann is opening her Pilates on Cortelyou this Monday – and you can try two classes for free.

You can see the silent horror film version of “The Phantom of the Opera,” but you should buy tickets sooner than later.

• The Kings Theatre is opening so soon!

• A neighbor launched a fundraising campaign to help her and others capture, neuter, and release feral cats in Ditmas Park.
