• At the vigil for Naiem Uddin, the 14-year-old boy killed by a hit-and-run driver, we remembered a son, a brother and a friend.

• How you can help our neighbors who are now homeless after a fire on Flatbush Avenue.

• Two men robbed a Coney Island Avenue jewelry store at gunpoint, making off with $250K in merchandise.

• Police said the suspect who robbed the Stratford Deli at gunpoint has allegedly been involved in five other armed robberies in the area.

• To address concerns in the neighborhood, you can go to these two meetings this week.

Artist Juan Carlos Pinto brightened up 773 Lounge following the devastating fire that destroyed the bar.

• The mayor and the New York Giants chairman came to our area to announce a $1.2 million donation for student athletes.

More than 100 of our neighbors celebrated Thanksgiving at the Church Avenue BID’s free luncheon at the Flatbush Reformed Church.

• In Brooklyn’s “Little Pakistan,” neighbors welcome immigration reform with open arms.

Fifteen fun things kids and families can do this holiday season.

• Our “friendly urban critters” and “ultra-neighborhoody” feel got us some love in the Brooklyn Flag Project.

• And speaking of friendly urban critters, these unbelievably cute events are happening at the Prospect Park Zoo.
