Here’s a recap of what happened in our neighborhood last week:

• An early morning fire on Wednesday killed a 24-year-old man and injured 16 others.

14-year-old Naiem Uddin was killed after being struck by a hit-and-run driver at Caton Avenue and E. 7th Street.

• A couple hundred people gathered for a town hall about crime in our neighborhood.

A large crowd turned out for the 70th Precinct’s monthly meeting, which was dominated by talk of the series of armed robberies in our area.

• Despite those armed robberies, a neighbor found that our sense of community is stronger than ever.

• Amidst a sea of poster board, a message from Ditmas Park students: No guns.

• After running over a detective’s foot, a man led police on a wild chase from Flatbush Avenue and Beverley Road to Marine Park, cops said.

• The 70th Precinct arrested a man for burglary at Am Thai on Church Avenue.

• Have something to say about the MTA’s proposal to hike tolls and fares? You can do so at Brooklyn College on December 11.

• With just a couple days to go before Thanksgiving, we’re asking neighbors to help us with CAMBA’s Thanksgiving drive for our neighbors who are having trouble making ends meet.

• And, speaking of Thanksgiving, you can celebrate the holiday at a free luncheon at Flatbush Reformed Church.

• The former New York Brick Oven Pizza space is now up for sale.
