Here is what happened in our neighborhood last week:

There was an armed robbery at Mimi’s Hummus Friday night, when the gunman fled on foot after reportedly stealing $100 in cash.

A suspect was arrested in the home invasion at 379 Rugby Road, but the police are still looking for two others.

• Police are asking the public to help them find suspects who pistol whipped and robbed a teen in his apartment.

• After six weeks of no cooking gas in their building, tenants are pushing for change.

• A new Midwood community center that aims to bridge cultures and provide free space for art groups celebrated its grand opening.

StoryCorps’ Dave Isay spoke to us about the importance of listening to the everyman and what he loves about Ditmas Park.
