Wednesday: Manhattan Beach Community Group To Have End-Of-Year Bash
For 73 years, the Manhattan Beach Community Group has been celebrating the end of the year – and the group’s anniversary – with an awards bash, and the entire community is invited.
Kicking off this Wednesday, December 3, at 8pm at PS 195 (131 Irwin Street), the group will briefly hold its regularly scheduled meeting, hear from elected reps and deliver their end-of-year reports to the membership. Then it’s party down, with an awards ceremony for those serving the community before retreating to the school’s lunchroom for a buffet of bagels, salads, desserts and beverages.
Previous years have seen the attendance of citywide and boroughwide politicos, including comptrollers, public advocates and borough presidents. The group hasn’t yet confirmed any special attendees.
