If you need to get to Manhattan right now (or back to Ditmas Park), don’t try the Q train. A water main break in the Flatiron District has disrupted service on the N, Q, and R lines, and the MTA says the Q is not running between DeKalb and 57th St/7th Ave. The B train seems to be running fine at the moment.

And a reminder that if you do manage to get around via subway this afternoon, service in our area is express, or not express, in different directions through 3pm.

UPDATE 3:40pm: We’re now hearing from the MTA that the Q is suspended in both directions along the entire line.

UPDATE 3:56pm: The MTA says Q trains are operating between Canal Street and Coney Island.

UPDATE 6:15pm: And finally, the MTA says the Q is back to running through the affected area.

And check out this video of the water pouring into the 23rd Street station!
