The New York Mets have made the World Series for the first time since 2000 and there’s no better place to watch the action than your local sports bar, where the camaraderie, drinks and food combine for the best experience to be had. We’ve rounded up a few spots worth checking out, either during or before the game to stock up on supplies. Let us know where your favorite Mets-watching place is!

Brooklyn Tap House (590 Myrtle Avenue) — Don’t freak out at the giant clown head screaming down at you from above the door; pretty soon we’ll all be screaming and hooting at the game projected from three large projectors and on 15 TV screens around the space, then washing it all down with a game-day happy hour featuring 44 beers on tap, growlers, and buckets of beer.

Mullane’s Bar and Grill (71 Lafayette Avenue) — The big screens in front and back ensure that you won’t miss a moment of the game and the burgers and beers ensure that your stomach won’t miss out on the action either

Peck’s Food (455A Myrtle Avenue) — The purveyor of delicious foodstuffs has transformed their black-and-white cookie into a blue-and-orange one in honor of the Mets. These will go fast so grab them while you can!

Mekelburg’s (293 Grand Avenue) — A relatively new addition to the neighborhood, but already a go-to spot for neighbors any time there’s a big game on, Mekelburg’s has everything on tap and things like super stuffed baked potatoes, cheeseburgers, and meatloaf to fill you up.

Putnam’s Bar and Grill (419 Myrtle Avenue) — Open until 4am (2am for drinks), you won’t have to worry about closing time here. And if you go tonight (Wednesday night), come in costume because it’s also Halloween Trivia Night!
