Watch Out For Sinkholes In The Area
Seems like it’s that time of year again, when streets start experiencing sinkholes, aka cave-ins — some smaller than others, but all a nuisance.
There’s a nasty one in the road next to the TD Bank just at the point where Prospect Park Southwest joins Park Circle, right before the stoplight in the right lane. As of yesterday afternoon, it was “marked” by a warning cone, but even that didn’t seem like enough of an alert for some of the drivers we saw, so be careful out there.
And there’s another on on Westminster Road, just before the stop sign at Dorchester Road, that most drivers will likely hit with their left tire if they don’t see it soon enough.
We’ve filed reports about both with 311 online, and recommend that if you’ve seen them (or any others), you do the same. And let us know if you see they’ve been fixed!
