If you didn’t get a chance to see “E.T.” outdoors on Cortelyou last weekend, you’ll have another chance to watch our favorite extraterrestrial tomorrow, Wednesday, July 22, when Prospect Park kicks off  its A Summer Movie Under The Stars.

Every Wednesday through August 12 there will be a free film shown at the north end of Prospect Park’s Long Meadow, where everyone’s invited to a blanket and picnic dinner and settle in for some movie watching!

Each week, the event will run from 7-11pm, with the movies beginning just after sunset. After tomorrow’s screening of “E.T.,” the schedule is:

  • Wednesday, July 29: “Where The Wild Things Are”
  • Wednesday, August 5: “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1”
  • Wednesday, August 12: “Happy Feet”

The movies are being sponsored by Borough President Eric Adams. If you have questions about the event, you can call the borough president’s office at 718-802-3777.
