Watch Brooklyn’s Birds in Prospect Park
Hey, budding naturalists, make some space on your calendar. Prospect Park is the site of two big birding events this weekend.
First up is Introduction to Birdwatching (Saturdays, 12 – 1:30 p.m.) where you can explore the park and learn how to spot the 250 species of birds that call the park home. The event is free and open to all ages, and repeats on Saturdays.
Second, Raptor Fest (Sunday, September 30, 12 – 4 p.m.) teaches kids about hawks, falcons, owls and other birds of prey. The event is free and includes flight demonstrations from the majestic birds.
Remember, the Prospect Park Alliance keeps track of much of what happens in the park with their event calendar.
