Wanted: Two Pickpockets Who Stole $1,100 From Kings Plaza Shopper, Credit Cards From TJ Maxx Customer
Cops are looking for two women caught on surveillance cameras stealing from victims, including one who pulled $1,100 from the pocket of a Kings Plaza shopper.
The 51-year-old female victim was shopping in Kings Plaza Mall at 400 Avenue U on December 29 when one of the suspects bumped into her at approximately 6:50pm. A short time later, the woman discovered the cash had been removed from her pocket.
The suspects were seen on surveillance camera later that same day, at approximately 9pm, inside TJ Maxx at 502 86th Street in Bay Ridge. A 51-year-old woman was again the target, with the suspects swiping credit and debit cards from her wallet, which the victim left unattended while browsing merchandise.
Local police have previously warned of frequent wallet theft in the area, noting that most often victims have left their belongings unattended in shopping carts. Police urge residents to keep their property in sight at all times.
