Volunteers Needed For The NYRR Brooklyn Half Marathon

NY Road Runners needs your help at the Brooklyn Half Marathon this Saturday, May 18. The organization says:

On Saturday, May 18- bring your volunteer community spirit and Brooklyn pride to support the 25,000 runners through the streets of Brooklyn.
Volunteers are needed throughout race weekend at the Brooklyn Half Pre-Party presented by New Balance (May 15-17) and on race day. Volunteer at the Pre-Party to get a T-shirt and one volunteer credit toward our 9+1 Marathon guaranteed-entry program. Race-day volunteers will receive a T-shirt and guaranteed entry to the 2014 Brooklyn Half.
Medical volunteers; doctors, nurses, physical therapists, or another types of medical professional, are also needed. Log in to My NYRR and select “Brooklyn Half Marathon (Medical Volunteer)” to register. We’re offering transportation for a limited number of race-day volunteers. Our buses will depart at 3:30 a.m. from midtown Manhattan and a central Queens location, and at 5:00 a.m. from Brooklyn. If you register to volunteer on race day, you’ll be contacted with additional transportation information via e-mail.

Sign up via mynyrr.nyrr.org/login, or contact nlipsey@nyrr.org if you’d like to bring a group of volunteers.
