Volunteer At The 2014 New York City Marathon

Up to 12,000 people volunteer their time each year to make the TCS New York City Marathon one of the best races in the world — and this year, you can be one of them.

If you’re looking to do more than stand along 4th Avenue and cheer on the runners as they pass through on Sunday, November 2, consider signing up as a volunteer.

They need people for the week of events leading up to the race, and through the end of the sign-up period on September 30, race-day opportunities (like assisting runners on their way to the starting line, manning fluid stations, or even helping out on the medical team) may open up for online registration.

You can also sign up with a group as small as 20 and up to 250 people. Contact volunteers@nyrr.org for more info.

If you can’t commit to volunteering, be sure to head out to 4th Avenue and make some noise — the runners appreciate that, too!
