The man who cops say “assassinated” two NYPD officers in their parked patrol car at Myrtle and Tompkins Avenues in Bedford-Stuyvesant on Saturday may have passed through Fort Greene in the hours before the brutal murders.

Police are asking for the public’s help in filling in those missing hours — roughly between noon and 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 20 — on the timeline of what Ismaaiyl Brinsley, 27, was doing upon arriving in Brooklyn.

They have released a video of him inside the Atlantic Mall and a photo of his distinctive jacket.

Brinsley shot himself in the head inside the Myrtle-Tompkins Avenue Station following a brief chase from the scene where he reportedly shot Officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos in the head and body multiple times. Liu, 32, was a seven-year veteran, recently married, from Gravesend, while Ramos was a three-year veteran who lived in Cypress Hills and leaves behind a wife and two teenaged sons.

Anyone with information in regards to Brinkley’s whereabouts before the shooting of PO’s Ramos and Liu is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1800 577-TIPS.
