BUSHWICK – One of the victims struck by a drunk driver on Labor Day has died just two days after her release from the hospital, the Daily News reports.

Lindsay Powell, 36, was alert and in good spirits after her release from the hospital, but collapsed in her room Thursday night, according to the article. She was transported by EMTs to Brookdale hospital, but died Friday.

An investigation into the cause of her death is underway.

Naquan Ricks, 23, who was charged with reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident, vehicular assault, driving on the sidewalk and DWI, is out of jail on a $10,000 bond.

At 5:00 am on September 4, Ricks ran his Infinity sedan up onto the sidewalk on Halsey Street, where he struck multiple pedestrians, including Lindsay Powell, said police. He then fled the scene in his car before hitting a cab on Schaeffer Street, where police caught up to him.
